Job Details

We are currently looking for a full time qualified level 2 or level 3 nursery practitioner to join our small work team working in the Over 2's room, you'll have key children and build up relationships with those children and their parents. We also operate a creche facility alongside our full day nursery.
We are a small work family who work within the premises of Roko Health Club - we have been operating from here for 11 years. We are proud to have received an OFSTED rating of good in March 2023.

The overall job role:
  • To support the senior with the daily running of the room.
  • To ensure the room and resources are safe and appropriate for children, staff and others.
  • To develop partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
  • To take on the role of being a key person, observing, assessing and planning for each individual child.
You’ll be expected to:
  • Support the senior with the effective daily running of your room.
  • You will be expected to deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practices within the nursery.
  • Have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures and expectations.
  • Act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children.
  • Uphold a high level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Assist with planning and assessment in your room with your key children.
  • Work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families.
  • Play a part in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS for your key children.
  • To work with outside professionals where required.
  • To work as part of the team within your room and the wider setting.
Essential Qualifications
  • Minimum level 2 certification in early years or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in childcare
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Sector and the EYFS
