At Duchess Nursery, we embed Fundamental British Values into our daily nursery life. Within our nursery settings, this translates as caring for our friends and those around us as well as our environment. One way we do this is through our nursery ‘promises’ – the children can relate to a promise and understand that we really try to live by these guidelines.
We promise we will try to remember to…
These promises are strengthened through positive praise, group reward charts and stickers. The promises are encouraged from the youngest to the oldest children. Once it is possible, the younger children are encouraged to pick up their toys at tidy up time. Our oldest children are encouraged to follow all the promises and encourage others to do so as well. We believe this will help them grow into considerate children with respect for others.
