JOB DESCRIPTION

Our South Bermondsey Nursery is seeking Early Years Educators to join their hard-working team. The nursery is in a purpose-built building which is also home to a Children’s Centre, they have a large garden area where children are able to explore and are encouraged to take part in messy play. Located close to local bus routes as well as London Underground and National Rail stations South Bermondsey Nursery and Pre-School is an important community hub, providing much-needed support for local families.

We are recruiting for Early Years Educators who can create inspiring experiences for our children, whilst establishing a nurturing environment and encouraging bravery and curiosity in our children’s development. Our Early Years educators excel in teamwork and help support the nursery as it grows into a truly fascinating setting for our children.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Full and relevant child care qualification at level 3 or above.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and how this is monitored in a nursery setting.
  • At least 6 months experience working in an early year’s setting
  • To be able to produce meaningful Observations
  • To encourage a supportive team atmosphere and the ability to work together in a positive and compassionate way.
  • To continually strive for best practice in yourself and inspiring others.
  • To be dedicated in achieving the highest standard of education and care
  • Have a passion for making a difference in their communities.
  • A child centred approach to teaching using creative and exciting methods to engage and stimulate

WORKING AT SOUTH BERMONDSEY NURSERY AND PRE-SCHOOL

  • 2x baby rooms, 2 x toddler rooms, 2 x preschool rooms.
  • 96 Place nursery
  • Opening Times: 8am – 6pm
  • Large shared access to a secure, enclosed outdoor play area with access from each room.
  • An incredible building with large rooms and lots of light and space.
