Room Leader Nursery Nurse

South Croydon

Salary: £19,635 - £21,678 per annum

Hours: Flexible -  from 36 to 44 hours

Contract: Permanent Full-time

We are working on behalf of our client who is looking for a hard working qualified individual who has a passion for working with children, and is seeking a long-term career in childcare.

As Nursery Room Leader, you will have sole charge of a base room, ensuring that the ratios are met at all times as well as the safeguarding and welfare requirements and support the other staff in the rooms.

For the Nursery Room Leader role, you will need good knowledge of Safeguarding, Health & Safety with one year post qualification experience would be an advantage.

Nursery Room Leader Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Strong people management skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • CACHE level 3, NNEB, NVQ Level 3 essential

Nursery Room Leader Duties:

  • Following care routines – such as nappy changes, sleep times and bottles
  • Complete planning, observations and next steps
  • Complete learning journals, tracking documents, progress summaries and 2 year checks
  • Providing activities including setting up and clearing away
  • Being a key person
  • Completing supervisions
  • Managing practitioners and addressing issues
