Salary: £18,500 – £21, 000

Contract: Permanent

We are working with a leading children’s day nursery who are currently looking for a Qualified Nursery Nurse for their nursery setting in New Cross London.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years relevant  experience with proven record within a  Early Years nursery setting.

Are you a Qualified Nursery Nurse looking  for a new challenge?

If you have a preference to work with babies, toddler, or pre-school, this is fine as there is room for flexibility to work with either group. This is a full time permanent position

The ideal Candidates must have:

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Nursery Nurse within an nursery setting
  • Experience of leading and supporting teams the manager in the daily running of the nursery setting
  • A passion for the EYFS
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsted requirements
  •  Full up to date knowledge of current childcare practice
  • Good knowledge of Safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Job Description:

  • Relevant skills for working with children aged 0 – 5 years
  • A good understanding of children’s development, together with the EYFS Curriculum
  • Experience of leading and supporting a team
  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team reflective of the EYFS
  •  To work alongside the Nursery Manager in achieving outstanding childcare
  • Organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good understanding of marketing and supporting the Occupancy within the Nursery
  • To be motivated and able to motivate children and staff
  • An ability to work on own initiative
  • An ability to communicate effectively with parents and build a relationship of trust with them
  • To possess a reasonable standard of literacy and the ability to write reports as appropriate
  • A willingness to work as part of and contribute positively to the staff team
  • A willingness to attend staff meetings, training courses and nursery parent’s evenings as appropriate.
