Are you an NVQ  Level 3 Nursery Nurse looking for permanent or temporary work!

We are currently seeking a passionate and experience Nursery Nurse to work in a fabulous nursery in Stockwell London,  5 minute walk from Stockwell Underground Station.

You will be required to care for children aged 3 months to 5 years (depending on the room) . You will be providing the highest possible care for children’s individual needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Nursery environment, and safety standards are high making regular observation and assessments, recording development and progress
  • Ensuring the safety wellbeing of each child
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures of the nursery

 The ideal candidate must have:

  • A minimum Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent
  • Have relevant experience within an Early Years setting as a Nursery Nurse
  • Excellent knowledge of the Health and Safety requirements in early years
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Full up to date knowledge of current childcare practice
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to use initiative

Job Description:

  • Relevant skills for working with children aged 0 – 5 years
  • A good understanding of children’s development, together with the EYFS Curriculum
  • Experience of leading and supporting a team
  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with your team reflective of the EYFS
  •  To work alongside the Nursery Manager in achieving outstanding childcare Organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good understanding of marketing and supporting the Occupancy within the Nursery
  • To be motivated and able to motivate children and staff
  • An ability to work on own initiative
    An ability to communicate effectively with parents and build a relationship of trust with them
    To possess a reasonable standard of literacy and the ability to write reports as appropriate
  • A willingness to work as part of and contribute positively to the staff team
  • A willingness to attend staff meetings, training courses and nursery parent’s evenings as appropriate.
