We are looking for summer playworkers to work as part of the KIDS team during the holidays on a part time or full time basis.
The role involves:
• Supporting the provision of an exciting and challenging programme of activities in a safe and stimulating environment for children/young people with a range of disabilities/additional needs such as autism, behavioural, learning and emotional difficulties. • Encouraging the children to play adventurously, creatively and imaginatively, and to enable them to obtain the full benefit of the facilities provided by the service
This is a sessional position offering flexible working hours.
Holiday play schemes will be running in the following areas: Chelsea, Hackney, Islington and Wandsworth Common.
Please note you will not be required to submit a separate application if you are interested in more than one area.
The holiday play scheme at Lady Allen Play ground will be running from 24 July-30 August 2019
The successful candidate will need to be educated to GCSE level, or have a NVQ level 2 as a minimum.
The candidate will need to demonstrate a commitment to working in partnership with parents/carers, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
The candidate will also need have a fun and open minded attitude to play.
KIDS is an inclusive nursery working with children from 3 months to 5 years. We work with children of many different abilities and backgrounds and support them with their learning and development through play. The setting is open 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We are very fortunate to have a new nursery building that will provide opportunities for children, their families, visiting professionals and the staff team. With this expansion we are looking for positive, engaging, passionate and friendly individuals to join our welcoming staff team.
