KIDS are a national charity which has been supporting disabled children, young people and their families since 1970.
We work with children, irrespective of their disability or impairment, from birth through to 25 years. Each year we support over 15,000 disabled children, offer over 120 different services and work with about 80 Local Authorities across England.

About The Role
The main purpose of this role is to coordinate the Summer Activities programme. This will be on and off site, in collaboration with the Play and Leisure Coordinator and Playworkers, to provide young people with disabilities/additional needs to access an exciting and challenging programme of activities in a safe and stimulating environment.
Play workers in Charge will be expected to support children in structured and free play activities enabling all children to participate in a safe yet stimulating and challenging play environment. Hours of work are available on an add hoc basis during the summer period.
To be able to carry out this role it is essential that you have the following characteristics:
Experience of working with children/young people with disabilities/additional needs.
Line managing/supporting staff.
Understanding of child protection issues.
Understanding of Health and Safety issues.
Educated to GCSE level or NVQ level 2 as a minimum.

KIDS is an inclusive nursery working with children from 3 months to 5 years. We work with children of many different abilities and backgrounds and support them with their learning and development through play. The setting is open 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. We are very fortunate to have a new nursery building that will provide opportunities for children, their families, visiting professionals and the staff team. With this expansion we are looking for positive, engaging, passionate and friendly individuals to join our welcoming staff team.
