Petra’s Place was established in 2018 by Petra Ecclestone. It offers a Nursery and Therapy Centre on one site on Fulham Road SW10 and our main purpose is to be an inclusive Nursery and early-intervention centre for mainstream children and children with special needs and autism. We are unique in that we are the first Centre in the UK to offer a holistic service - everything you need is under one roof meaning early diagnosis and focused interventions are immediate. We offer a first class, supportive and friendly service to all our parents and children and value working in partnership as one Team for the benefit of our children and families, specifically targeting the areas that children with autism may need support with: social communication, joint attention, motor skills and sensory issues. The Nursery is open for 48 weeks of the year, with planned closure dates at Christmas (2 weeks) and in the summer (1 week) with 5 additional inset days during the year.
We are looking for a dedicated, friendly, and compassionate Level 3 qualified SEND Nursery Nurse to come on board at this exciting time and help us to continue to grow our Nursery into a world class centre, dedicated to supporting the needs of its children. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge and experience in inclusion and supporting children with SEND, with access to exceptional support and training from our inhouse therapy team and leadership team.
The ideal candidate will be someone who would welcome the opportunity to build on their current experience in SEND and is passionate about developing and providing high quality support for children with SEND and their families. You may have developed your skills and experience within a mainstream school setting in a role such as SENCO or within a nursery setting.
Candidates must have a full and recognised Level 3 qualification in early years and experience of working with young children with Special Needs.
