Interserve Learning & Employment
Our ever-expanding team, of over 700 dedicated people, provides tailored support to help individuals in a range of situations: including young people leaving school and looking for the first step in their career, people in work who need help to progress through in-work training, people who have an illness which has prevented them from completing their journey into employment, and people who are ex-offenders wanting to turn their lives around, get back to work and re-join society. Whatever challenges someone faces, when they come to us, they receive flexible support to make sure they get the right help for them.

We are a leading supplier of vocational skills, information, advice and guidance (IAG) and welfare to work services within the UK: providing services on behalf of the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), National Apprenticeship Service (NAS) and European Social Fund (ESF), which meet the needs of Government, individual customers and employers.

Working alongside our partners we support tens of thousands of people a year into work or training, which has a positive impact on their wider communities and local economies.

The Interserve Learning & Employment story

Interserve Learning & Employment was formed in December 2014 following the acquisition of the Employment & Skills Group (esg) by the international support services and construction group Interserve and the subsequent merger with its existing employability operations, formerly known as Interserve Working Futures.

The coming together of these two companies has created one organisation with a portfolio including two Work Programme Prime Contracts the Mandatory Work Activity scheme, Community Work Placement programme, Apprenticeship and Traineeship provision and a series of tailored programmes across the country. Interserve Learning & Employment is one of the largest private sector providers of Apprenticeships operating nationally and delivering across a broad range of sectors.

From an original base in Sheffield – where its head office still operates – Interserve Learning & Employment, now part of an international plc, is a major supplier of employment and skills services which it provides through a network of almost 30 offices. Even with this growth, our values have remained at the heart of our business and underpin everything we do.
