Windmill Hill City Farm is a charity that provides recreation, education and therapy using food, farming and the environment as a theme.
Children and Family Services is at the heart of the City Farm providing many opportunities for the children to enjoy the animals, plant life and strong communal spirit. In this environment we provide opportunities for children to learn, develop, gain a variety of life skills and have fun through a variety of play opportunities and experiences within these natural surroundings.
The Children and Family Services department consists of a 78-place day care nursery and Farm Adventurers (outdoor play provision) which can take 16 children.
All our staff are trained in childcare and/or play and further their knowledge and understanding of early years and play through continual professional development. All staff and students are CRB checked.
We believe that every child is an individual and are committed to ensuring that their cultural and social requirements are encouraged and supported in every way possible. We maintain an absolute commitment to equality of opportunity and access to services.
