Position: Level 3 Nursery Nurse Term Time only Annual pay.

1x 31.5 hours Monday 7.30am-4pm Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 9am-4pm

1x 15 hours Mon-Fri 9am-12pm (Maternity Cover)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated Nursery Nurse to join our nursery. You will need to have a Level 3 in childcare and be expected to work as part of our team to deliver outstanding care whilst providing a safe, fun and progressive learning environment to children aged 2-5years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To promote a fun, high quality environment for the children
  • Ensure that at all times the welfare and learning development requirements of the children are met
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers
  • Undertake a shared responsibility for health and safety throughout the nursery
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Be fully aware of all the emergency and security procedures relating to the nursery
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by management


Now apart from all of the usual paperwork, knowledge of legislations, confidentiality, ability to work as a team etc. you MUST HAVE the following before even thinking about applying…

  • You must have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
  • You must be able to laugh at jokes you don’t understand or don’t find funny
  • You will preferably have a little bit of quirkiness. If a child requests that you be a captain of a pirate ship, you will be the best pirate captain you can be!
  • You must feel comfortable telling everybody in the same room as you that you are going to the toilet!
  • The ability to sing in tune is not necessary, however the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential
  • You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required
  • Processing the skills required to rapidly count the heads of numerous moving small people is of the utmost importance
  • Pretending to eat playdough creations realistically is required, and that of drinking numerous cups of pretend tea.
  • You must have the ability to read a ten page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page.
