Learning Through Play
 
Children in their early years develop essential life skills and self esteem in the most natural and unassuming way during play. For young children there is no distinction between play and learning; they are one and the same. Play fosters creativity, imagination and problem solving skills and children learn using their natural curiosity about the world around them. Language increases as a child plays and interacts with others. Learning through play is a fundamental aspect of daily life here at Green Top. We support the children in play, keeping a balance between free play where the children choose and direct their own play and more structured activity based learning. Our team ensures there is always a relaxed, calm and safe environment for the children to develop naturally, whilst tracking their development to the EYFS and planning for each child's individual needs
